SKYWARN Weekly GMRS & 2 Meter

Skywarn GMRS Net (Tuesdays at 7:00 PM)
The Skywarn GMRS Net meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM and is focused on weather awareness and emergency preparedness. Open to licensed GMRS operators, this net utilizes the same linked repeater system as the NETRC GMRS network: Johnson City (462.600), Bays Mountain (462.575), Pinnacle (462.675), Viking Mountain (462.725), Cross Mountain (462.700), and High Knob Mountain (462.625), all using 88.5 Hz transmit and receive tones. This is a controlled net where participants can practice communication protocols and stay informed during severe weather conditions.

Skywarn 2 Meter Net (Tuesdays at 8:00 PM)
Following the GMRS session, the Skywarn 2 Meter Net begins at 8:00 PM each Tuesday. This net is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and emphasizes weather reporting, situational awareness, and emergency communication readiness. It operates on the 146.805 MHz repeater with a negative offset and a PL tone of 203.5 Hz. Participants are encouraged to check in regularly and stay prepared to assist during weather-related events.
